When you see Rick Vaders truck going down the road at night you will probably need sunglasses. This is one awesome spectacle at truck shows as well. This 1989 black Freightliner FLD120 and his 1996 Alloy drive van have over 400 lights on it. Got your attention yet? This truck has got a 3406E CAT motor with an 18 speed Eaton Fuller transmission and 3.73 rear end. The 240 inch wheel base frame is home to a 60 inch flat top sleeper with enough relays and wire to make California have blackouts. He actually has 14 relays and 2 complete fuse panels to control all of his lights. With a flip of one of the many toggle switches on the dash, this truck starts to twinkle like a Christmas tree. When Rick and Dixie Vaders are not on their regular run between Seattle and L.A. you might catch them at a truck show. He has owned this truck since 1990. It has just gotten a new motor at just over 1.5 million miles. This truck is not just for show...it is a true working show truck. -A. Barker-
